Frameless glass doors create a strong, safe and secure way of closing your entrance while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of your living space. The frameless doors have no outer frame work and you have a choice of pivot or hinge doors.
The frameless doors can also be decorated with any design to create an ‘arty’ look.
The glass door remains the way it is for a very long time without requiring any bit of your maintenance towards it.
Since there are no frames to obstruct the view, you can get a continuous, uninterrupted view.
Why Frameless Glass Doors?
Frameless glass doors create a modern look to any room, as well as letting light flood through the door, giving you a greater feeling of space. In addition to clear or obscured sandblasted doors, we have many modern sandblasted designs to choose from. The doors come complete with stylish hinges and handles ready to hang. Sandblasted doors are pre-treated with a protective Ritec coating, so your doors always look good.
Glass is cut to exact size and all sides are polished to a smooth high polish finish and if side hinges are being used. The cuts are carefully made into glass to hold the hinges and glass together. Depending on the size and location of the handle, a pull knob or a grab bar with various holes are drilled into the glass to provide for anchorage.
Side-Mount hinges and Pivot hinges are two of the most popular frameless shower hinge types.
- A side-mount hinge is similar to the door hinges in your home. One side of the hinge is anchored on the side of a frameless glass door. The other side of the hinge is mounted to a wall or another glass panel.
- A pivot hinge is secured top-to-bottom. It’s this hinge type that allows a door revolving door to spin, while staying in place. Only most pivot-hinged shower doors mount top-to-bottom at the corners of the door, allowing the door to swing 180 degrees in each direction.
